Rev. Dr. Regina C. Groff

Rev. Dr. Regina C. Groff is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. A native of Brooklyn, New York, she is the former Pastor of Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church. Before pastoring Campbell, she served for 8 years in various ministerial capacities at Shorter Community A.M.E. Church. Currently, Rev. Dr. Groff is an online faculty member for Grand Canyon University located in Phoenix, AZ. She is also the Chief Academic Officer for MCG2 Consulting, LLC in Woodbridge, VA.

Rev. Dr. Groff received both her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy and Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degrees from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. As a Divinity student, she was awarded a Martin Luther King, Jr. scholarship and a Dean’s scholarship. Rev. Dr. Groff earned her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education with a focus in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver in 2008. Her dissertation was entitled, Beyond Sunday Mornings: The Role of Church-based Programs on the Everyday Lives of Urban African American Youth.Rev. Dr. Groff is chiefly motivated by the Word of God. If God said it, she believes it and it’s done. Her favorite scripture is Lamentations 3: 21-23: “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness.”

Rev. Dr. Groff is wonderfully married to former State Senator Peter C. Groff. They are the proud parents of a son – Malachi Charles, and a daughter – Moriah Cherie.
